Collaborative Research

Structured Research Projects with Partners.

Apart from the continuous farm trials with farmers OACK participates in structured research projects in collaboration with institutions and individuals interested in generation of knowledge for use in providing solutions and the development of agroecology.

In this regard, OACK previously worked together with Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization (KARLO) and FiBL in a project proEcoAfrica to compare productivity, profitability and sustainability of conventional and organic production systems and nutritional habits of smallholder farmers in Murang’a, in Nutridecisions project with interested individual scientist.

Currently, OACK collaborates with Icipe – African Insect Science for food Health in a long term research called systems comparison (SYSCOM); comparing the production of conventional and organic systems.
