Bees are very essential in the environment in aiding pollination. The greatest percentage of pollination is done by bees therefore needs to be preserved. By caring for the bees, we increase the rate of pollination especially in the farming community. This leads to increase of the fruits and seeds production which increases the regeneration of the crops.

Bees also forms a source of income for the communities through the sales of the honey, propolis and wax whose demand is currently increasing. The safe production of bees products and quality production needs to be focused to tap this niche.

At OACK, we encourage farmers to adopt modern bee keeping and value addition of their byproducts. This in turn will increase their farm production as well as boost their health. The sales will greatly increase their income with minimal cost as bees requires less inputs and labor.

OACK has been keenly promoting bees rearing among the communities and especially to the women and youth who can access the little space required compared to other livestock rearing.
